Red Apple Livestock started with a single Red Angus cow and a dream that got a little out of hand — in the best possible way. Brandon Edward runs a tight, no-nonsense operation in the sandy loam pastures of Bastrop County, about an hour east of Austin. His animals are raised for disposition first, performance second. Every Red Angus that leaves Red Apple has been handled from birth, runs well in a group, and adapts quickly to a new environment. Brandon is straight-talking and post-sale support is part of the deal — he still answers texts from buyers who bought three years ago.
