KEEP EVERYTHING ON RANCH HERO

Scammers always try to move conversations off-platform — to personal email, Facebook DMs, WhatsApp, or cash payment apps. The moment you move off Ranch Hero, we lose the ability to protect you. If a seller asks you to pay via Zelle, Venmo, or cash and skip our platform — that's a red flag, and we want to know about it. Report it here.

Seller identity fraud

A listing posted by someone using a fake identity. All sellers verify government ID before listing.

Misrepresented animal

Animal arrives significantly different from the listing — different color, age, sex, or health condition.

Fake registration papers

COVERED

Registration papers submitted to Ranch Hero are verified against breed-registry records before listing approval.

Non-delivery after deposit

COVERED

Seller takes a deposit and becomes unresponsive. Deposits processed through Ranch Hero are held in Stripe escrow until both parties confirm delivery.

Undisclosed health issues

Animal arrives with a pre-existing health condition not disclosed in the listing.

Buyer's remorse

NOT COVERED

You changed your mind after purchase. This is a transaction between you and the seller.

Price disagreements after agreed sale

NOT COVERED

Parties agreed to a price and the transaction completed. Price renegotiation post-sale is not covered.

Transactions conducted off-platform

If you moved the conversation to Facebook, Venmo, or personal cell — Ranch Hero has no record and cannot help.

Contact the seller first

Day 0–1

Most issues resolve faster when you contact the seller directly through Ranch Hero messaging. Give them 24 hours to respond.

File a dispute

Within 72 hrs of delivery

If the seller is unresponsive or you can't reach agreement, file a formal dispute through your transaction page. Include photos and a description of the issue.

Ranch Hero investigation

3–7 business days

We review the listing, all messages, transport documentation, and your evidence. Both parties may be asked for additional information.

Resolution

Within 10 business days

We issue a finding: partial refund, full refund, or case dismissed. Sellers found to have misrepresented animals are flagged and may be removed.

Something went wrong with a transaction. File a formal dispute and we'll investigate. You'll need your transaction ID and photos if applicable.
