Blue Bonnet Farms is the kind of place that was built one animal at a time by two people who couldn't say no at a county fair. Sarah and Jake Whitfield run a mixed small-livestock operation in the wildflower country outside Wimberley — Nigerian Dwarf goats, Miniature cattle, and a rotating cast of farm characters that keep the kids busy and the Instagram lively. They are obsessive about temperament: every animal on the property is friendly enough for a five-year-old to interact with safely.
